[origin: WO2020016042A1] The invention relates to a device (10, 110) for mounting an engine for a motor vehicle, preferably a commercial vehicle. The device (10, 110) comprises an internal grid frame (12, 112) and lateral reinforcing plates (22, 26, 122, 126) which are attached on both sides of the internal grid frame (12, 112) so as to form a sandwich structure with the internal grid frame (12, 112). The device (10, 110) also comprises a first engine bearing (18) which is arranged and at least partly housed in a space (16) in the internal grid frame (12), and/or a second engine bearing (118) which is arranged on the outside, with respect to the internal grid frame (112), on one of the lateral reinforcing plates (122). The lateral reinforcing plates (22, 26, 122, 126) are able to reduce local stresses on the grid frame (12, 122) and the engine bearings (18, 18) by bracing against a bending moment caused by the force of gravity of the mounted engine. Local and global deformations of the frame structure are prevented or at least reduced thereby.
