Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2020016435A1] The invention relates to a light device for a motor vehicle, comprising a matrix light source which performs a light function within the motor vehicle. The same source is used, together with a photodiode, to estimate the flight time of captured light pulses which are initially generated by the matrix source. It is thus possible to detect objects and/or gestures using light in the visible spectrum, and without using specific pulse sources provided for that purpose.
