[origin: WO2020016508A1] The invention concerns a fuel composition comprising: (1) at least one liquid hydrocarbon fraction coming from one or more sources chosen among the group consisting of mineral, animal, plant and synthetic sources, and (2) one or more compounds of formula (I) RNHCO(CHOH)nCH2OH (I) where n is an integer between 2 and 6, and R is a non-cyclic, branched hydrocarbon group containing at least 10 carbon atoms. The invention also concerns the use of compounds of formula (I) as a detergent additive in a liquid fuel for an internal combustion engine, as well as particular preferred compounds.
