[origin: WO2020016681A1] What is shown is an apparatus having a data input, a data output, a first buffer, a second buffer and control logic. The control logic is configured to route data packets received via the data input to the first buffer or to the second buffer and to identify them as valid or invalid and to provide data packets needing to be output via the data output from the first buffer or the second buffer. The control logic is further configured to provide a data packet needing to be output via the data output from the first buffer if the data packet is written to the first buffer at the time that reading starts, to provide said data packet from the second buffer if the data packet is written to the second buffer at the time that reading starts and to provide said data packet from the buffer that has the latest valid data packet if no data packet is written to the buffers when reading starts.
