Abstract (en)
The application describes an identity document data protection tool comprising a mainly transparent sheet (200) attached to a non-stick liner, wherein after the sheet is removed from the non-stick liner the sheet is configured to be repeatedly attached to and detached from a specific type of identity document (100) comprising at least one unique visible personal data element (102, 104, 106), and wherein portions (202, 204, 206) of the sheet are provided with one or more copy protection elements such that a main part of the at least one unique visible personal data element can be captured by an image capturing device and a remaining part of the at least one unique visible personal data element cannot be captured by the image capturing device when the sheet is attached to the specific type of identity document. Furthermore, repeated detachment of the sheet does not damage the identity document.
