[origin: EP3826429A1] A cooking heater includes a top plate on which cookware is to be placed; a heating source provided under the top plate; a heat zone provided to the top plate to indicate a position at which the cookware is to be placed; a plurality of light sources provided under the top plate and controlled independently of each other; and a transmission part provided in the top plate, located outward of the heat zone, and configured to allow light emitted from the plurality of light sources to be transmitted through the transmission part. A selected one or ones of the plurality of light sources successively emit light while the heating source is being operated, such that the successively emitted light is emitted from the transmission part and flows in a single direction parallel to a surface of the top plate.
