Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020020529A1] The invention relates to a method, a testing device and a system for testing a multiphase tap changer of a multiphase transformer. In the method, one test current per phase of the multiphase transformer is fed into a primary winding via the multiphase tap changer by means of a test signal source of the testing device. In addition, the secondary winding of at least two phases is short-circuited. Then the multiphase tap changer is actuated in order to switch simultaneously between at least one tap and an additional tap of the primary winding for each of the at least two phases. During actuation, an electrical voltage is detected with respect to the primary windings for the at least two phases, said voltage dropping across the primary winding and the tap changer.
