[origin: EP3828908A1] The invention refers to a modular rotary switch array comprising: at least two switching modules co-axially assembled along a common axis (X), and first and second interlocking pieces, in a way that the first interlocking piece is coupled with a rotatable contact of the first switching module, and a second interlocking piece is coupled with the rotatable contact of the second module. First and second interlocking pieces are jointly rotatable respectively with the first and movable contacts of the first and second switching modules, and each interlocking piece has a peg placed such as both pegs are rotatable on the same plane around the axis (X). The two interlocking pieces are configured and located in a way that they are rotatable between two end locking positions relative to each other in which one of the pegs blocks the rotation of the other peg, and wherein release positions are defined in which rotation of both interlocking pieces is allowed.
