[origin: WO2020026183A1] An apparatus (1) for treating air, comprising a plurality of treatment devices (10) for treating an air stream travelling therethrough, an extraction device (11) for extracting air from an environment and generating an air flow along a treatment path (P) that passes through the treatment devices of said plurality of treatment devices (10) and releasing treated air into said environment, wherein said plurality of treatment devices comprises at least one ultraviolet lamp (21) for irradiating said air and reducing the bacterial load thereof, a filtration unit (30) for filtering said air and reducing the particulate content thereof, which is arranged downstream of said ultraviolet lamp (21) along said treatment path (P), and a generator (35) for generating silver ions and introducing them into said air, said generator (35) being arranged downstream of said filtration unit (30).
