Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2020094725A1] The invention relates to a method and an apparatus (3) for rotating a tube (4) for packages of a textile machine (1). In the method, the tube (4) is removed from a tube magazine (6) in a manner oriented in a first direction (10), rotated substantially through 90° transversely to its tube axis into a second direction (12), and transported onward in the second direction (12) by a transporting device (11). According to the invention, a first side (12) of the tube (4) comes into contact with a transporting device (11) that is moved in the second direction (12) transversely to the first direction (10). In the process, the transporting device (11) moves this first side (12) transversely to the tube axis. At the same time, relative to the first side (13), a second side (14) of the tube (4) is not moved or is moved at least slower transversely to the tube axis, such that the tube (4) executes a rotation transversely to the tube axis. The apparatus (3) according to the invention is designed to carry out the method.
