[origin: WO2020035339A1] The invention relates to a metering unit (8) for granular material, such as seeds or fertiliser, for conveying the granular material in adjustable quantities, wherein the metering unit (8) comprises a metering housing (9) and a driveable metering wheel (10) which is mounted such that it can be rotated in the metering housing (9) and which can be driven, wherein the metering unit (8) comprises a metering cover (12) that can be brought into different positions and a bearing housing (20) for rotatably mounting the metering wheel. In order securely fix the bearing housing (20), according to the invention, the metering cover (12) has a strut-type, preferably attachment-type, section element (22) and the section element (22) forms a contact point for the bearing housing (20).
