The present invention is a method for programming a plurality of electronic detonators according to a blasting pattern and the system thereof.The system comprises electronic detonators that comprise wireless electronic communication means adapted to transmit at least the identification number stored in storing means of the same electronic detonator to the programming unit allowing the user to assign the identification number/code of each electronic detonator to the blasting pattern information highly reducing the implementation process.
