[origin: WO2020094328A1] The invention relates to an electrical operating means having a high electrical rated voltage, in particular a rated voltage that is greater than 1 kV, comprising at least one voltage-conducting conductor rod having an insulation system. Examples of such electrical operating means are, in particular, rotating electric machines, such as electric generators, electric motors, but also transformers, choke coils, electrical switches, and leadthroughs. The invention further relates to a method for producing an insulation system for a voltage-conducting conductor rod. For the first time, an insulation system for an electrical operating means, such as an electrical rotating machine, is thereby described, which functions without winding band insulation, even if the operating means is designed for the high-voltage range, that is, above 1 kV. This is achieved by the combination of a detectable proportion of silicon-oxygen-based resin components in the polymeric thermosetting plastic and a filler having high dielectric strength.
