Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2020052884A1] The invention relates to a filter medium for fluid filtration, having at least two layers, at least one coarse filter layer (16) and a fine filter layer (17) arranged downstream of the coarse filter layer (16) in the flow direction (13). The coarse filter layer (16) and the fine filter layer (17) are connected together without using chemical binders, and the coarse filter layer (16) and the fine filter layer (17) each has a polymer fleece made of thermoplastic polymer fibers, wherein the fineness of the polymer fibers in the fine filter layer (17) is greater than the fineness of the polymer fibers in the coarse filter layer (16). According to the invention, the thermoplastic polymer fibers of the coarse filter layer (16) and the thermoplastic polymer fibers of the fine filter layer (17) are melt-blown fibers.
