[origin: WO2020099263A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a photovoltaic (PV) inverter (1) and to a PV inverter. The phase relays (7, 8, 9) of the PV inverter (1) are not closed simultaneously during the electrical connection of the PV inverter (1) to a three-phase network (2). Instead, the only phase relay (7, 8, 9) which is closed is the one at the respective output terminal (4, 5, 6) of which a voltage which corresponds to the voltage at the respective network phase (U, V, VV) can be set and is set.
