Abstract (en)

The present invention relates to an electronic device (1) for operating a light source (2), like an LED light source, comprising an electronic component (3), a flat housing (4) having two opposite side walls (40) connected by a circumferential edge (41) to delimit an inner space (42) for enclosing and carrying the electronic component (3), an electric contact (5) being electrically connected to the electronic component (3) to allow for external electrical connection of the electronic component (3), and a spacer (7) being detachably attachable to the housing (4) so as to protrude with a stopper section (70) from the edge (41) in an extension direction (E). The present invention is further directed to a luminaire system (100) having the electronic device (1) according to the present invention. Also, the present invention is directed to a kit comprising an electronic device (1) according to the present invention and having a plurality of the spacers (7). Moreover, the present invention is directed to a method for inserting the electronic device (1) in a luminaire track (10).
