[origin: WO2020056531A1] The invention relates to a swivel chair, comprising a support leg (13, 15), a frame (16) that defines a seating surface (11) and a backrest surface (12), which frame (16) comprises a backrest frame section (17) and a seating surface frame section (19), a base support (45), which supports the frame (16) and which can be mounted, or is mounted, on the support leg (13, 15). The base support (45), on the one hand, supports the seating surface frame section (19) by means of at least two support levers (69, 71), and on the other hand, the backrest frame section (17) is pivotably connected to the base support (45). According to the invention, the two support levers (69, 71) extend from two ends of a spring element, preferably a U-shaped spring element (61), which is fastened to the base support (45) and is springy transversely to the direction of the swivel chair, and the two support levers (69, 71) are arranged so as to spread apart towards the seating surface frame section (19).
