[origin: WO2020058532A1] The invention relates to a forming unit for forming a tube from a material web, comprising: a base frame (2); two forming elements (3) arranged next to one another on the base frame (2), mounted such that they move obliquely to the transport direction of the material web (1), and each comprising a segment of the forming edge (12), and a seam former (22), arranged in the region of the web run-out cross-section (13), for forming a longitudinal seam in the material web (1); and an adjustment unit which acts synchronously on both forming elements (3) to change the cross-section of the tube to be created.
