Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020058900A1] An adapter (10) for a printer, a method of authenticating payment and a payment authentication system. The adapter (10) comprises a first interface (14) which connects the adapter (10) to the printer and a second interface (16) which enables communication between the printer and a point of sale system. The adapter (10) includes a payment authentication device (20) which includes a wireless interface (22) for communicating with a mobile device of a customer. A third interface (28) of the adapter is connected to the payment authentication device (20) and is configured to emulate a payment terminal.
