[origin: WO2020058055A1] The invention relates to a method for influencing a plurality of alternating light signaling systems in a traffic route network with a first region with autonomous alternating light signaling systems which are not controlled by a central traffic control computer but rather by local control units and with a second region in which the alternating light signaling systems are controlled by a central traffic control computer. The autonomous alternating light signaling systems placed along the predicted travel route are influenced such that each autonomous alternating light signaling system releases the traffic in the direction of the predicted travel route prior to or during the predicted arrival of the service vehicle. In the event of an imminent transition of the service vehicle into the second region controlled by the central traffic control computer, the position data and the data of the current travel direction vector of the at least one service vehicle are transmitted to the traffic control computer, which then influences the centrally controlled alternating light signaling systems placed along the predicted travel route such that each alternating light signaling system releases the traffic in the direction of the predicted travel route prior to or during the predicted arrival of the service vehicle.
