[origin: WO2020058295A1] The present invention relates to a method for disconnecting a battery (12) comprising at least two battery cells (30) from at least one electrical component (11) of a vehicle (10), at least two switching units (21) being associated with each of the battery cells (30), the battery cells (30) each being electrically connected to the component (11) according to the at least two switching units (21) in each case, such that a power supply is produced by the battery (12) for the component (11), the following steps being performed for the disconnection from the component (11): a) switching the at least two switching units (21) of a first battery cell (30a) of the battery cells (30); b) switching the at least two switching units (21) of at least a second battery cell (30b) of the battery cells (30).
