The tray comprises a rigid support body and a surface element which can be detachably fixed on the support body and is provided with an elastic contact side for the labels and a suction opening which is formed on the contact side and is used for sucking the labels. Suction of ambient air by suction openings which are not covered by labels can be reliably avoided in that the resting side comprises at least one suction region in which the suction openings are grouped, and the resting side comprises at least one passive region without suction openings in which the suction openings are grouped. In this way, the suction region is limited to a suction profile which differs from the overall profile of the resting side and in particular is specified in specification.

Beschrieben werden eine Palette (1) für ein Palettenkarussell (22) einer Behälter-Etikettiermaschine (21), ein zugehöriges Oberflächenelement (3) mit einer elastischen Anlageseite (4) und ein Verfahren zur Formatanpassung von Paletten einer Behälter-Etikettiermaschine. Die Palette umfasst einen starren Trägerkörper (2) und ein lösbar daran befestigtes Oberflächenelement (3) mit einer elastischen Anlageseite (4) für Etiketten (5, 5') und an der Anlageseite ausgebildete Ansaugöffnungen (6, 16) zum Ansaugen der Etiketten. Dadurch, dass die Anlageseite wenigsten einen Ansaugbereich (7, 17) umfasst, in dem die Ansaugöffnungen gruppiert sind, und wenigstens einen Passivbereich (8, 18) ohne Ansaugöffnungen, um den Ansaugbereich auf eine von der Gesamtkontur der Anlageseite abweichende und insbesondere formatspezifische Ansaugkontur zu begrenzen, lässt sich das Ansaugen von Umgebungsluft durch nicht von den Etiketten abgedeckte Ansaugöffnungen zuverlässig vermeiden. Ferner ermöglicht das Oberflächenelement als auswechselbares Garniturenteil mit unterschiedlichen Ansaugbereichen eine schnelle und kostengünstige Anpassung der Paletten an unterschiedliche Etikettenformate.
