[origin: WO2020064903A1] The invention relates to an adjustable table column (1) for an operating table, comprising a column foot (2) for parking the table column (1) on the ground, a height-adjustable column shaft (3) having a stationary column shaft base (24) and a stem (40) of the column shaft that moves up and down relative to the column shaft base, a linking unit (10) for linking a patient support surface to the table column (1), wherein the linking unit (10) can swivel in relation to the stem (40) of the column shaft, and a line guide device (4) for carrying at least one power and/or data line (5) along the stem (40) of the shaft column when same is moving up and down, wherein the line guide device (4) comprises a hinged connecting rod (11) which can transmit pushing and pulling forces. The connecting rod (11) is mechanically connected by its upper end (17) to the linking unit (10) and mechanically connected by its lower end (18) to the stem (40) of the column shaft in such a way that the at least one power and/or data line (5) adjusts its position accordingly when the linking unit (10) moves.
