[origin: WO2020064576A1] The present invention relates to a method for evaluating an effect of an object (40) in the surroundings of a means of transport (80) on a driving manoeuvre of the means of transport (80), said method comprising the steps: determining, by means of a first ultrasonic sensor (30) of the means of transport (80), a first distance (d1) between the object (40) and a first position (50) of the means of transport (80); determining, by means of the first ultrasonic sensor (30) of the means of transport (80), a second distance (d2) between the object (40) and a second position (55) of the means of transport (80) which deviates from the first position (50); calculating a change between the first distance (d1) and the second distance (d2) with respect to a path (s) which corresponds to a path (s) travelled between the first position (50) and the second position (55) of the means of transport (80); and, when the driving manoeuvre of the means of transport (80) is being performed, taking into account or not taking into account the object (40) in accordance with a result of the calculation.
