The present invention relates to a system for cleaning a smoking substitute device, and particularly, although not exclusively, to a system comprising a smoking substitute device (201) and a cleaning device (310), further in particular to a cleaning device. According to the present invention, there is provided a cleaning device for cleaning a smoking substitute device, the cleaning device comprising a first section (320) adapted for insertion into a consumable receiving cavity of a smoking substitute device, a second section (321) adapted for operation by a user, and a bearing element (318) arranged between the first section and the second section.
