Offenbart ist eine Hammermühle (1) mit einer Beschickungseinrichtung (4) zum Beschicken eines Arbeitsraums (5) im Innern der Hammermühle (1) mit einem Mahlgut, der an einer Oberseite mit einem Deckenrost (12) aus Manganstahl abgedeckt ist und an den ein Auswurfschacht (10) für aus dem Arbeitsraum (5) durch den Deckenrost (12) ausgeworfene Stücke des Mahlguts anschließt, wobei in dem Arbeitsraum (5) ein Rotor mit einer Mehrzahl beweglicher Hämmer um eine horizontale Achse (7) rotierbar gelagert ist, die das Mahlgut zerkleinern und durch den Arbeitsraum (5) fördern, und wobei der Deckenrost (12) zu dem Auswurfschacht (10) gewölbt ist.Um den Anwendungsbereich der Hammermühle (1) zu erweitern wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Wölbung einen Kreisbogen um eine Kante (14) des Arbeitsraums (5) beschreibt.
