Abstract (en)

A cartridge accommodating device (110) includes: a holder (101) and a connector provided at the holder (110). The connector includes: a housing (126) supported by a first surface (58A) of the holder; a conductive member (128) including a contact (138); and a movable member (130). At least a portion of the conductive member is movable in a prescribed direction crossing the first surface relative to the housing (126). At least a portion of the movable member is positioned upstream in the insertion direction relative to the portion of the conductive member. The movable member is moved from a first position to a second position in the prescribed direction when contacted by a cartridge (30) during insertion thereof into the holder (101). The portion of the conductive member (128) is moved from a remote position to a proximate position in the prescribed direction in association with movement of the movable member from the first position to the second position.
