[origin: WO2020069803A1] The invention relates to a device (1) for transporting a plurality of articles (2). The device (1) comprises at least one horizontal conveying apparatus (9) for conveying articles (2) and a plurality of guide walls (6), which are designed to guide articles (2) conveyed by means of the at least one horizontal conveying apparatus (9). The device (1) also has at least one sensor system (15), which is designed to detect and/or recognize a malfunction occurring in the region of at least one guide wall (6) of the plurality of guide walls (6) and affecting the conveying of articles (2). The device (1) also comprises at least one actuator operatively connected to the at least one sensor system (15), which at least one actuator operatively connected to the at least one sensor system (15) can transmit a defined motion to the at least one guide wall (6) of the plurality of guide walls (6) in order to resolve or avoid a malfunction, if the at least one sensor system (15) recognizes and/or detects a malfunction occurring in the region of the at least one guide wall (6) in question.
