[origin: WO2020074220A1] The invention relates to a blocking device (10, 10b), in particular for a fire damper (114, 120), containing a holding device (150), a receiving element (230) mounted in the holding device rotatably about a rotation axis (A) and having a through-opening, the through-passage axis of which extends coaxially or parallel to the direction of the rotation axis, and a wrap spring (130, 130b) of the blocking device, which wrap spring is held mechanically prestressed in the holding device, and at least one turn (W) of the spring is arranged around the receiving element. The blocking device additionally comprises a thermocouple (140, 142) made of a material which has a lower melting point than the material with the lowest melting point in the holding device and/or than the melting point of the material of the wrap spring. The thermocouple holds one or both ends (132, 134) of the wrap spring in the prestressed state in relation to the holding device so that the receiving element is freely rotatable about the rotation axis in both drive directions (160, 170) and so that the receiving element is blocked in one of the two drive directions (170) in the relaxed state of the wrap spring in the triggered state of the at least one thermal fuse.
