[origin: WO2020077372A1] In the case of a carpet comprising a carpet material (1) which has a pile layer (2) in the form of a cut pile and has a backing layer (3), and comprising an anti-slip layer (5) which is retained by means of an adhesive bond (6), the bottom side (4) of which anti-slip layer forms the bottom side of the carpet, edge strips (11) of the carpet material (1) are folded over and adhesively bonded, the side edges (10) of the carpet (1) being formed by the bends between the folded-over edge strips (11) and the rest of the carpet material (1). The pile layer (2) of the folded-over edge strips (11) is sheared off. The anti-slip layer (5) extends only over the region surrounded by the folded-over edge strips (11). A radiation protection layer (7) is arranged between the anti-slip layer (5) and the backing layer (3) of the carpet material (1).
