Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020079060A1] Up to now, separate components have been used in many cases for the emission of light and radar radiation. There is a need for a combined device which can also unite the advantages of light- and radar radiation, even for synergies at a device level. Proposed is a radar- and light emission assembly (10) for emitting light and radar radiation and for detecting at least reflected radar radiation, said assembly comprising: a headlight (1) having a light-transparent headlight cover (4), a light source (2) and a light reflector (3); a radar module (11) situated behind the headlight cover and integrated into the headlight, said module comprising a radar antenna unit (12); the radar- and light emission assembly (10) having at least one radar radiation-forming device (13, 14), in particular a frequency-selective radar radiation-forming device, said device comprising a radar radiation-forming device integrated into the headlight cover. The use of the radar technology that is integrated into the headlight can thereby be further optimised. The invention also relates to a method and a use for a radar- and light emission assembly of this type.
