[origin: WO2020081085A1] A waveguide display includes a display projector for emitting polychromatic image light, and a waveguide assembly (500) for transmitting image light (401) to an exit pupil (555). The waveguide assembly (500) includes two or more waveguides (521)(522) disposed in a stack (500), each having an in-coupler aligned with the other in-couplers (531,532) and an offset out-coupler aligned with the other out-couplers (541,542). The assembly is configured so that at least one color channel (401R) of the image light propagates to the exit pupil along at least two waveguides (521)(522).
