[origin: WO2020083969A1] The invention relates to a lighting device (100) comprising a diffuser (1), at least one light emitting diode (2) for generating light that radiates through the diffuser (1), a peripheral frame (3) and a closure element (4), wherein: the frame (3) bounds a passage (5); a peripheral edge section (1a) of the diffuser (1) is connected to the frame (3); the diffuser (1) has a peripheral side surface (1b), a light entry surface (1c) and at least one light exit surface (1d); light that can be generated by the light emitting diode (2) and that radiates into the diffuser (1) strikes the light entry surface (1c) of the diffuser (1); at least one means (6) for evening out the light radiated through the light entry surface (1c) of the diffuser (1) and the light emerging through the light exit surface (1d) of the diffuser is provided; the closure element (4) comprises a peripheral edge region (4a) and a central region (4b); the peripheral edge region (4a) is connected to a peripheral section (3b) of the frame (3); the at least one light emitting diode (2) is connected to the central region (4b) of the closure element (4); and the at least one light emitting diode (2) is connected to a supporting element (7) fixed to the frame (3).
