Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020082239A1] Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a shutter mechanism for a switchgear. The shutter mechanism comprises a first moveable cover and a second moveable cover arranged between fixed contacts and moveable contacts of a circuit breaker on a withdrawable truck of the switchgear; and a transmission mechanism arranged at least in part below the withdrawable truck and coupled to the first and second moveable covers, the transmission mechanism adapted to be actuated by a movement of the withdrawable truck to drive the first and second moveable covers to move close to each other to a block position to block the fixed contacts when the withdrawable truck moves to a test position, and move away from each other to an unblock position to unblock the fixed contacts when the withdrawable truck moves from the test position to an intermediate position between the test position and a work position. With such an arrangement, the first and second moveable covers cannot be opened by manually operating the transmission mechanism directly or by pushing the covers, improving the safety of the shutter mechanism.
