[origin: WO2021170260A1] The invention relates to method of producing a gas heater heating element, the gas heater heating element (1) having at least one electrical heating element in a monolith (12), in which monolith (12) a support and channel structure (11) having a plurality of channels is formed, the electrical heating element being laid through the channels of the support and channel structure (11), and wherein heat can be transferred from the electrical heating element within the channels to a gas flowing through the channels to heat the gas and/or to achieve high gas temperatures, which method is characterised by the following steps: moulding the electrical heating element; at least partially or fully coating the electrical heating element with at least one coating material (3); introducing the coated electrical heating element into a mould (5, 6) for producing a monolith; producing the monolith (12) enclosing the coated electrical heating element and removing the coating material (3) from the electrical heating element.
