[origin: WO2020089754A1] Described is a machine for packaging articles in the tobacco industry, in particular for packaging cigarettes using hinged-lid packets, which comprises a first section 100a which moves intermittently and a second section 100b which moves continuously. A succession of groups (A) of articles are fed to the first section (100a) and at least a first wrapping material (B) designed to wrap around each group (A) of articles to obtain a semi-finished packet (C) defining a partial wrapping of each group (A) of articles, in particular an inner wrapper. The second section (100b), which is configured to receive the semi-finished packets (C) from the first section (100a), and is fed with at least a second wrapping material (D), in particular a blank (G) made of cardboard, intended to wrap the semi-finished packet (C) to obtain a complete packet (E).
