[origin: WO2020088980A1] The invention relates to a gripping unit (2) for a base (8) having a thickness which is predefined by an upper side (8a) and a lower side (8b), wherein at least one product (16) is conveyed on the upper side of the base (8). In order to propose a device and a method using which products conveyed on a base are reliably conveyed in a predefined relation to the base, in particular rotated or pivoted about a vertical axis, a first guide (3a, 3b) is provided which has a guide surface (4) bearing against the base and which extends to below the underside of the base (8).
