[origin: WO2020088979A1] The invention relates to a method for installing a lift installation (1) in a lift shaft (2) of a building under construction, which lift installation (1) comprises a lift cabin (10.2) guided along the lift shaft (2) on cabin guide rails (6) and a machine platform (10.1) which can be displaced along the lift shaft (2) on the same cabin guide rails (6), can be temporarily fixed in the lift shaft and has a lift drive machine (11), wherein: the lift cabin (10.2) is suspended by suspension means (15) from the machine platform (10.1) and is driven by the lift drive machine (11); a usable lifting height of the lift cabin (10.2) is adjusted from time to time to an increasing height of the building by, among other things, hoisting the machine platform (10.1) to a higher level; during the installation procedure at least one lift unit (10) in pre-assembled condition is lowered, by means of hoisting equipment (25), into the lift shaft (2) that has already been fitted with said cabin guide rails (6); guide devices (45) are used which are either mounted on the lift unit (10) and interact with alignment elements (6; 7) mounted in a fixed position in the lift shaft (2), or which are fixed in the lift shaft (2) and interact with alignment elements (7) mounted on the lift unit (10) so that the at least one lift unit (10) is aligned, when lowered into the lift shaft (2), in a position suitable for inserting guide shoes (35; 35.1, 35.2) of the lift unit (10) and associated cabin guide rails (6) into each other. In said method, the at least one lift unit (10.1 - 10.3) is supported, at the end of the lowering process thereof in the region of the lift shaft (2) equipped with cabin guide rails (6) in the position suitable for inserting guide shoes (35; 35.1, 35.2) and cabin guide rails (6) into each other, whereupon at least one guide shoe (35; 35.1, 35.2) of the lift unit (10, 10.1 - 10.3) is brought into engagement with the associated cabin guide rail (6) and is secured on the at least one lift unit (10, 10.1 - 10.3).
