[origin: WO2020109046A1] The invention relates to a console (C) of a motor vehicle, comprising at least one housing (3) with an opening and at least one armrest (2) configured to be opened and closed particularly with respect to said housing, and a retractable support (1) that can be stowed in said housing and can be deployed from said housing into a usage position, in which the opening in the housing (3) is positioned to be adjacent to one end (20) of the armrest (2), and said support (1) is configured to be reversibly deployed from its retracted position in said housing by extraction from said housing, with the arm rest in an open position, into a horizontal usage position in the extension of the end (20) of the armrest and along the longitudinal axis of the armrest, such that at least the end (20) of the armrest rests against the end (101) of the support in the extension of the armrest when in the closed position.
