Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020108826A1] The invention relates to a method for spraying cold glue (3) on labels (4), a labelling station (1) for containers (8) and a labelling machine (10) equipped therewith. According to the invention, labels are transported through the working region of a print head (11) having spray nozzles (13) arranged in a grid pattern and the cold glue is dispensed from the spray nozzles onto the labels. The reliability of gluing can be increased, particularly compared to piezoelectric nozzle systems, the glue supply simplified and the labelling flexibly adapted to different requirements in respect of labels to be glued and containers to be labeled because a working pressure of the cold glue from 0.1 to 10 bar is set for the region of the print head and dispensing of the cold glue is controlled by means of electromagnetic valves (14) individually associated with the spray nozzles.
