Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020109375A1] The invention relates to a device (2) for protecting an electrical circuit (1) configured to transmit an electrical current (I). In order to improve reliability, the protection device according to the invention comprises: a first conductor (4) and a second conductor (6); a first fuse (8) that is connected to the output conductor; at least one breaker component (12) for an electrical current, connected in parallel to the first fuse, said breaker component (12) comprising a control area (16) capable of receiving an activation signal (S), and a power zone (18) for the passage of the electrical current; a diagnostic system (30) comprising at least one sensor (32, 34) for measuring the current flowing in the fuse (8) and an electronic processing unit (36, 38) programmed to detect a fault in the protection device (2) depending on the measured current values.
