The present disclosure can be applied to intelligent services (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail business, security and safety related services, etc.) based on 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. In addition, the present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for reducing terminal power consumption in a wireless communication system. A method for processing a control signal in a wireless communication system includes the steps of: receiving a first control signal transmitted from a base station; processing the received first control signal; and transmitting a second control signal generated based on the processing to the base station.
