[origin: WO2020115433A1] A steering control device (1) for a wheelchair comprises a body (3) intended to be attached to the wheelchair chassis (11), said body (3) accommodating: a transmission (5) designed to be connected with the fork (12) of a steering wheel (13) of the wheelchair in order to form an assembly capable of rotating relative to the body (3) about an axis of rotation (Z2) aligned with the longitudinal axis (X12) of the fork (12), a support (2, 4) designed to be connected with a footrest (14) in order to form an assembly capable of rotating relative to the body (3) about the axis of rotation (Z2), the device comprising a connecting finger (7) capable of selectively connecting the transmission (5) and the support (2, 4) for conjoint rotation, such that the change between autonomous use and assisted use of the wheelchair (100) is achieved by acting solely on the connecting finger (7).
