[origin: WO2020115210A1] The invention relates to a support structure (1), in particular for use in residential and leisure areas, comprising at least two lateral support elements (10) for laterally supporting and delimiting the support structure (1), a plurality of transverse support elements (20), a plurality of longitudinal support elements (30) and a plurality of tread elements (40), wherein each of the transverse support elements (20) is connected to the two lateral support elements (10); the longitudinal support elements (30) are connected to the transverse support elements (20); and each tread element (40) is connected to one of the longitudinal support elements (30), in particular exclusively to one of the longitudinal support elements (30) and the tread elements (40) form a tread plane (44). The transverse support elements (20), the longitudinal support elements (30), the lateral support elements (10), and the tread elements (40) can each be connected to one another merely by twisting and/or clamping the elements (10; 20; 30; 40) to form the support structure (1). The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing the support structure.
