The component (3) has a main body (14; 60) on which a high-pressure input (15; 63) and at least one high-pressure output (16 - 19; 64) are provided, wherein the fuel or the mixture can be conducted from the high-pressure input (15; 63) through an interior (24; 65) of the main body (14; 60) to the at least one high-pressure output (16 - 19; 64), and wherein an insert (25) is arranged in the interior (24; 65). The insert (25) is at least partially formed from at least one material which has a bulk modulus (K) which is predefined so as to at least substantially correspond to or to be lower than a bulk modulus of the fuel or of the mixture and/or to be smaller than 30 GPa.
