[origin: WO2021204571A1] To provide textile fabrics with a flame-retardant finishing, a polycondensation product which comprises repeating units I and (IIa and/or IIb) and has a mean molar mass in the range of 400-5000 g/mol, formulae (I), (IIa), (IIb), where each R1, independently of one another, stands for hydrogen, -CH2OH, -CH2OCH3 or -CH2OCH2CH3; each R2, independently of one another, stands for -CH2OH, - CH2OCH3 or -CH2OCH2CH3; and each Y, independently of one another, stands for a single bond or -O-CH2-; wherein the molar ratio of I to the sum of IIa and IIb lies in the range from 1.4 to 0.9 up to 0.9 to 1.4, is applied to the textile fabric; and the polycondensation product is cross-linked on the textile fabric.

Zur Flammschutzausrüstung von textilen Flächengebilden bringt man ein Polykondensationsprodukt, welches Wiederholungseinheiten I und (IIa und/oder IIb) umfasst und eine mittlere Molmasse im Bereich von 400-5000 g/mol aufweist,worin jedes R<sup>1</sup> unabhängig voneinander für Wasserstoff, -CH<sub>2</sub>OH, -CH<sub>2</sub>OCH<sub>3</sub> oder -CH<sub>2</sub>OCH<sub>2</sub>CH<sub>3</sub> steht; jedes R<sup>2</sup> unabhängig voneinander für -CH<sub>2</sub>OH, - CH<sub>2</sub>OCH<sub>3</sub> oder -CH<sub>2</sub>OCH<sub>2</sub>CH<sub>3</sub> steht; und jedes Y unabhängig voneinander für eine Einfachbindung oder -O-CH<sub>2</sub>- steht; wobei das Molverhältnis von I zur Summe von IIa und IIb im Bereich von 1,4 zu 0,9 bis 0,9 zu 1,4 liegt, auf das textile Flächengebilde auf; und vernetzt das Polykondensationsprodukt auf dem textilen Flächengebilde.
