[origin: WO2020127601A1] The invention concerns a base for a household electrical appliance producing steam intended to be connected to a portable unit, the base (1) comprising a fluid container (2) and having a bearing wall (4) allowing the base (1) to be set on a work surface, the bearing wall (4) comprising at least two fastening suction cups (5,5') protruding from the bearing wall (4) by a suction cup height (Hv), the suction cup height (Hv) being defined relative to a reference plane (Pr) tangential to the bearing wall (4), the at least two fastening suction cups (5,5') being intended to be brought into contact with the work surface in order to fasten the base (1) to the work surface, characterised in that the bearing wall (4) further comprises at least two stabilisers (6,6') positioned in an offset manner relative to the at least two fastening suction cups (5,5'), the stabilisers (6,6') protruding from the bearing wall (4) by a stabiliser height (Hs) defined relative to the reference plane (Pr), the stabiliser height (Hs) being less than the suction cup height (Hv).
