Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020126408A1] The invention relates to a device for driving a fastening element into a substrate, said device comprising: a drive and a driving-in element, particularly designed as a piston, which is driven by the drive in a driving-in direction from an initial position into a setting position in order to drive a fastening element into the substrate; a braking element with a bearing surface which defines the setting position of the driving-in element and against which the driving-in element particularly bears in the setting position; a pressing element, which has an end face which can be pressed against the substrate in the driving-in direction, wherein the end face and the bearing surface have a spacing from one another in the driving-in direction, said spacing defining the driving-in depth of the fastening element into the substrate; and an adjusting device with which the spacing between the end face and the bearing surface can be adjusted.
