This reinforcement (7) is in particular a stamped part (7) that comprises a longitudinal main wall (11) at an angle of less than 30° with respect to the vertical, a lower edge (15) opposite a lower joining rabbet (19) of the front pillar (3) and the rocker panel (5) and an upper edge (13) bearing on upper walls (17) of the front pillar and the rocker panel.
