[origin: WO2020126533A1] The invention relates to a cable-storage device (2) for a crane cable (4) in a crane, it being possible for the crane cable (4), when being retracted, to be introduced into said storage device by a cable-drive device (8) and for the crane cable (4), when being paid out, to be removed from said storage device by the cable-drive device (8), the cable-storage device comprising an outer supporting structure (10) and an inner body (18), which can be driven in rotation and is arranged in said supporting structure, wherein the inner body (18) can be driven in rotation about an axis of rotation (20), which is substantially vertical during operation, and it comprises a base (26), which can be driven in rotation along with it and on which the crane cable (4) is placed when being introduced, and also comprising a rotary-drive device (40) for the inner body (18). The invention also relates to a crane having a cable-drive device and to a method for operating a crane.
